"...One of my league mates and co-trainers and I attended the "Building a New Skater Program that Boosts Skater Retention" a couple of months ago, and are currently implemented the things we learned. We haven't yet seen the results of the parts of the program we implemented, but I feel confident that we are at the beginning of a new era for my league. They provided simple and common sense advice on how to increase skater retention and reduce trainer burn out. In my experience both Prime and Zonan are very approachable trainers, the webinars teach something (which isn't always my experience in the professional space). Furthermore, they are willing to challenge how leagues think about training, ~which is important in moving forward. I would recommend these to any league as a simple, practicle, and inexpensive way to boost league function. ~Break-Fist of Champions
"They structured the (new skater) program in a way that was beneficial to everyone. Their program, broken into on-skates and off-skates work, focused on both the learning of derby skating skills and the importance of knowing the rules. [...] In 3 months time, I went from barely standing on skates, to passing WFTDA written/skating qualifications and bouting with my team! [...] Their intern program is structured, organized, and focused on maximizing skater potential. They know how to keep people motivated, and to get results."
"In 2014 the Emerald City Roller Girls decided to debut a new recreational league. After extensive research, we plunged in! Despite having many qualified trainers on our league, we found ourselves struggling to create a comprehensive training plan that prepared brand-new skaters for wftda minimums, while simultaneously engaging and developing the skills of returning rec skaters. That's a lot to ask, plus our trainers were incredibly busy with their own skating careers. That's when we reached out to RDS. Within weeks we had a rough draft to review. It was good, but we recognized some additional unique needs, and RDS immediately drafted alterations to accommodate our league.
The training program they drafted was both detailed and thorough, while also allowing the flexibility we needed. Brawley was also an email away when we needed suggestions for specific drills or exercises.
After using our custom RDS training plan for 6 months, we have graduated 5 skaters to our competitive league, and developed a crew of rec'ers that can skate safely and with purpose in the recreational program. We think the progressive and engaging training system from RDS has directly led to higher retention and satisfaction in our league. The program also addresses the development of team work, communication and sportsmanship. Skaters coming in with highly varied skill sets have all benefited from the program, and there has been no "culture shock" when they graduate to our wftda league.
If your league is looking for a comprehensive training program that addresses good derby skills on the track and great league-friendly behavior off the track, RDS comes highly recommended!"

"I actually had two teammates, our fresh meat coordinator/coach and our league skater coach watching [the webinar] with me, and commenting and asking questions. They were both impressed and inspired by the presentation."
